                                                                                                       ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for Contract No. 1 – Restoration of Storm Damaged Bridge Sites will be received by the St. Lawrence County Purchasing Office, until 3:00 PM local time, March 26, 2026. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the St Lawrence County Purchasing Office, 48 Court Street, Canton NY 13617.

Bids will be received for the following Contract:
Contract No. 1 – Restoration of Storm Damaged Bridge Sites
Site 1 - County Route 35 over Grannis Brook
Site 2 - County Route 55 over Allen Brook
Site 3 - Boyden Road over Boyden Brook

Contract Documents, including Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Labor and Employment, Additional Instructions, Bid Documents, Agreement, General Conditions, General Requirements, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined at no expense at the following locations:

Copies of the Contract Documents shall be obtained from the St. Lawerence County Purchasing Office, 48 Court Street, Canton, New York 13617. The Purchasing Office may be contacted through email at [email protected] or by phone (315) 379-2207.  Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.  Questions regarding the Contract Documents should be directed [email protected] within 7 days of bid opening.

This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the County prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. 

The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.

This Project is a “Covered Project” under New York State Labor Law 220-I and the Bidder must hold a valid Certificate of Registration from the New York State Department of Labor to submit a Bid and at all times for the duration of the Work. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have not registered or that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b.
