Volunteers

The Office for the Aging Volunteer Program is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who want to be involved in their community. Many Senior Citizens in our county are in desperate need of the expertise and skills that you have to offer.

A number of elderly citizens have limited socialization, and lack the means to fulfill their every-day needs. Some just need a friendly visit, and you can brighten someone's day simply by visiting a homebound Senior. Some Senior Citizens are in need of a nutritious meal. As a volunteer, you can help by delivering a meal from one of our local Nutrition Sites.

Volunteering makes you part of a prestigious group working with Seniors, and allows you to help those less fortunate while improving the community.

What does it take to become a Volunteer? It's really quite simple...

  • A Little Time
As a volunteer, you can offer time that comfortably fits your schedule.
  • A Little Compassion
Just a little bit of your generosity goes a long way. The best reward is the immeasurable satisfaction you'll receive from helping someone in need.
  • The Desire
You CAN make a difference by bringing the joys of friendship into someone's life.

Our staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have about participation in the program
