The St. Lawrence County Soil and Water Conservation District office is located in a federal building and due to the lapse in federal government funding, we are not currently able to be in the office. We have limited to no access to phone or voicemails but are still working remotely and conducting field visits.

For the week of October 6th to October 10th we will have "office hours" at the Board of Legislators Chambers at 48 Court Street Canton. The hours will be Monday and Wednesday from 9-12 and Thursday from 11-2. If you need Ag Values, need to pick up bottles for water testing, or just have general questions, you can stop by and see us, or email for a different appointment time!

The St. Lawrence County SWCD has been helping concerned landowners care for their natural resources since 1957.
We are a small staff of just five employees and sometimes we are all needed in the field. Please call ahead to ensure someone is in the office or to schedule an appointment.
Mission: The function of the SWCD is to represent the county in obtaining technical, financial, and education resources from federal, state, and other sources and coordinate them to meet local needs in natural resource conservation, management, and development.
Confidentiality Statement: As the District is a non-regulatory agency, the information shared with the District will be kept confidential and used only for planning purposes. Currently, information collected through grant programs and requested by other agencies is given to them using a number classification system, not by using names.
